Q: What is your inclement weather policy?

“How can you know if Sunday worship services, Sunday school, Wednesday night activities and other activities have been cancelled when there’s bad weather?”

The fastest and most reliable way to get that information is by checking the homepage or by calling the church at (865-932-4673).

Here’s how the process works:

  • In the event  a Sunday service must be cancelled due to weather conditions, the decision about the Sunday worship service will be made by 6 am and that information will be posted on the church website and on the NH Facebook page.
  • Closing/cancellation information is also available on the local TV stations. However, sometimes that information is delayed, due to the large number of churches calling in to report their closings.
  • Depending upon the severity of the weather, if there are Sunday evening events scheduled, a decision about the Sunday evening activities may be delayed until later Sunday morning. Should that be the case, the closing/cancellation information will be posted on the website and NH Facebook page.
  • The process for Students on Wednesday nights is: whenever schools are closed due to weather, the service is cancelled as well.

The same process is used for closing/cancellation decisions during the week, although the time schedule obviously varies depending upon the situation.

  • We encourage you to watch for any LIVE FB from our Pastoral Team.
  • In inclement weather when we have NOT cancelled services, we will be streaming Live on Facebook . Click HERE.  We encourage you to watch us live if you are unable to attend due your location.
  • Just a reminder  that you can still GIVE online regardless of weather cancellations, etc. Give HERE
