Children

Every Sunday, New Hope Kids is a safe place where children (6 weeks to 5th/6th to 12 years old) will learn about God and His love. Our age appropriate classes are staffed by trained and caring teachers and staff.  Our purpose is to share in God’s promise, potential and purpose of your child, growing them into fully devoted followers of Jesus Christ, while making their experience both spiritually formative and FUN!

Students

Project 7 (students ages 13-18) meets every Wednesday at 7pm in the New Hope Lobby.  THERE ARE DIFFICULT QUESTIONS IN LIFE…and the relevant teaching in an environment where questions are not dismissed, and students are safe to ask, and BIBLICAL ANSWERS ARE GIVEN, provides New Hope the opportunity to  partner with you in developing fully devoted teenaged disciples of Jesus Christ.

Small Groups sessions each week offer opportunities to build relationships, and grow deeper in the Word.

Throughout the year, Project 7 has many activities for students including summer camp, worship arts camp, creative arts, events, fun days and more.

Adults

New Hope is committed to providing adults of all ages  opportunities to connect and grow in their relationships with others and God. This may be through a worship service, a small group or any one of our events. Check out the Small Groups and Event Calendar for more information.

Senior Adults

The Senior Adult Ministry (ENCORE) provides Christ-centered activities addressing the spiritual, relational and social needs in this rapidly growing segment of our society. Our goal is to promote seniors living to their fullest potential to the glory of God.

Small Groups

Small Groups are one of the easiest ways to connect to others and grow personally at New Hope. We believe that life change happens in the context of authentic relationships. Small Groups are designed to encourage lifelong friendships, build community and help you grow and thrive in your walk with Christ.

Small Groups are also where we pray, care for one another, and are missed if we don’t show up. Regardless of your age or interest, there is a group that’s right for you! Small Groups meet throughout our area and at various times. Small Group opportunities can be found on our website.

New Hope’s Small Groups meet on a tri-semester basis:  Spring, Summer (fewer groups) and Fall.

Prayer

At New Hope, we believe in the power of prayer! Our Prayer Team will be praying and interceding for your request during the week.  If you have a prayer request, email your request to: [email protected]  or call New Hope Church offices at 865.932.4673.

If you would like to be placed on the prayer team to receive and pray for the needs that come in throughout the week, please email:  [email protected]

Worship Arts

We believe Worship and The Word are fundamental to who we are as a church.  At New Hope, we find our identity and worth through worship….where our lives are changed! Once there is an encounter with HIS presence, we are no longer the same.  His presence is what we long for every time we gather together.

Getting Involved

We’re excited you’re interested in partnering with us in ministry and cannot wait to get to know you. Our vision is to help develop highly influential God-worshipers. In order to accomplish this, we focus on developing these five foundational values:

CORE is our understanding of worship.
CHARACTER
is how we conduct ourselves as worshipers of Jesus.
CRAFT
is honing the skills to operate in your gifting with excellence.
CHEMISTRY
is how we engage the congregation in ministry.
COMMUNITY
is your sense of being a part of a family of people with similar interests and callings.

Worship Discipleship

Worship isn’t just a song, or the first 25 minutes in a church service.  It’s much too big for that! Worship is a lifestyle of obedience that flows directly from our love relationship with the Lord.  We offer small groups and discipleship classes that help you discover what it means to worship in Spirit and in truth, as we allow His life-changing glory to flow through us and let His character develop in our hearts.

New Hope Worship Groups
Various worship groups are available throughout the year. Some examples are:

  • Worship Life Groups
  • Worship Seminars
  • Worship and Arts Camp
  • Choir

Platform Ministry
This includes all worship teams and band members. There are three initial prerequisites a person must meet before participating in the platform ministry at New Hope.

1. Completion of Next Steps Classes (4 classes)

2. Audition for the worship team or band. (All Worship Team members will also be part of the larger choir)

3. Interview with the Pastor of Worship Arts.

The Worship Team and Band meets on designated Tuesday nights. Auditions for the band are held yearly (or as needed).  For more information contact [email protected]

Creative Arts

We believe you cannot separate the creative arts from worship…all that is created was created by God.  All creative ability comes from Him.  At New Hope, there are many opportunities for involvement in the arts.  From drama, dance, human videos to the technical arts (media), there is a place for your gift and talent.  For more information contact [email protected]

Missions

New Hope has chosen to partner with PCL (People for Care and Learning) in Southeast Asia to share the hope of Jesus Christ by being devoted to breaking the cycle of poverty.  PCL addresses individual variables within the cycle of poverty at once by providing holistic, sustainable solutions and creating replicable projects. We are dedicated to serving the poor by helping children, widows, and their communities worldwide reach their full potential through five main areas: Sustainable Farming, Build a City, Children’s Homes, Common Grounds Coffee Shops, and Learning Centers.  As a result, we help support dozens of Missionaries and Learning Centers that empower those new to faith to share the gospel of Christ!

Disaster Relief

Since hurricane Andrew hit south Florida in 1992, our Pastor has held a passion to help those in the wake of disaster.  New Hope’s heart for the broken-hearted and displaced individuals is at the heart of Christ!  When disaster strikes…New Hope responds!
